Q: What is a textured photograph?

A: This is the biggest question I hear at my shows!  Simply put, they are photographs with textured images digitally layered over them.

Q: How do you create the textures?

A:  The textures are created by taking photographs of textured objects, such as tree bark, rocks, cracked concrete, and the like.  I then blend several of those images together so they are not identifiable.  I follow up by removing unwanted or distracting elements before I feel each texture is ready to be used over a photograph.

Sometimes I will paint my own textured surfaces and photograph them as a starting point for a new texture.

Q: How many textures are on each image?

A: The majority of my work contains three to six textures.

Q: Do you ever give workshops?

Q: What is your return policy for texture downloads?

Q: How do I unzip your texture download files?

Q: What is your return policy for artwork?

Q: What if my artwork is damaged during shipment?

A: Not right now, too many irons in the fire!  But, I did create a Basic 5-step Texture Tutorial in hopes of getting people started. And, be sure to grab some free textures while your at it!

A: Because of the nature of downloadable items, all texture download sales are final.

A: You can find video tutorials on unzipping files for a variety of operating systems here.

A: If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, I offer an exchange or refund if you contact me within 14 days of the shipping date. You will receive further instructions at that time based on your situation. Please note that the artwork must be returned in the same condition it was received and in original packaging. A: All shipments are insured and will be replaced if damaged. A photograph of the damage will be required.
